THE 3rd Eastbourne Company of the Boys' Brigade held a special evening at Victoria Baptist Church on Saturday to mark the 125th Anniversary of the movement.
Present were the current Company, past members and supporters.

Captain Adrian Attwater gave a presentation illustrating the movement, past present and future. In his address, he said that, "...the need for the Boys' Brigade and what it offers youngsters is just as relevant and sorely needed today as it was when Sir Willaim Smith founded it.

"By no means is it an old fashioned concept."

A video of Boys' Brigade activities was shown, followed by a buffet supper which incorporated loyal toasts to The Queen and Boys' Brigade founder Sir William Smith.

Visitors enjoyed studying the large display of 3rd Eastbourne Boys' Brigade uniform, photographs and other artefacts spanning several decades.

The evening closed with the sounding of last post by Company officers.
The 3rd Eastbourne Boys' Brigade meets on Wednesday evenings at Victoria Baptist Church, Eldon Road.
