Rocking production pays homage to Queen

QUEEN’S greatest hits will explode onto stage when Bohemian Rhapsody perform at the Congress Theatre from July 10-14.

Produced by David King, whose first production was the hit show, Spirit of the Dance which is still touring today, Bohemian Rhapsody pays homage to the power, emotion and gravitas of the music of Queen.

Queen’s greatest hits explode onto the stage in this amazing full scale production that includes a company of dancers, a live orchestra and nine phenomenal West End singers, including X Factor finalist and former lead singer of G4, Jonathan Ansell.

Jonathan will be joined onstage by an array of sensational musical theatre performers who come direct from lead roles in West End hits, including Rachael Wooding and Victoria Hamilton-Barritt who are both making a welcome return to the Sunshine Coast.

Rachael Wooding will be recognised by Eastbourne audiences as the legendary Eva Peron, a part she played when the UK Tour of Evita came to Eastbourne back in 2009. She also has an extensive list of West End credits including Amber in Hairspray, Scaramouche in We Will Rock You and most recently Mary Delgado in Jersey Boys.

Victoria Hamilton-Barritt made her West-End debut back in 2003 in the hit show Mamma Mia but is probably best known to local audiences for playing the role of Alex Owens in the UK Tour of Flashdance - The Musical, a role she later played in London’s West End earning her first What’s On Stage Award nomination for Best Actress in a Musical. Other credits include; Rizzo in Grease, Carmen Diaz in Fame and comes to Eastbourne direct from playing Gypsy Rose Lee in Gypsy.

Featuring Queen’s greatest hits including We Will Rock You, We Are The Champions, Barcelona and of course, Bohemian Rhapsody, this stage spectacular is sure to leave you breathless.

Evening performances are at 7.30pm, with Thursday and Saturday matinees at 2.30pm.

Tickets cost from £16-£24.50, call 412000.
