GREASE returns to the Congress Theatre next month from August 20-25.

After an electrifyin’ four-year West End run, Grease is back by popular demand and singing sensation Mary Byrne will bring some added X Factor to Eastbourne when she guest stars as Teen Angel for the smash hit musical’s week-long run.

Mary shot to fame in 2010 after becoming a finalist on the seventh series of hit TV talent show, The X Factor.

Her big personality and powerhouse voice won the hearts of millions and despite leaving the show in the semi-finals, she has gone on to sign a record deal with Sony Records and make her stage debut as Teen Angel in Grease at Dublin’s Grand Canal.

She has since reprised the role for several dates of the tour and will be making her Eastbourne debut this summer. The original High School musical takes a trip to a simpler time where ‘bad boy’ Danny and the ‘girl next door’ Sandy fall in love all over again.

Evening performances are at 7.30pm from Monday-Friday, with a Thursday matinee at 2.30pm, Saturday matinee at 4pm and Saturday evening performance at 8pm.

Tickets cost from £18.50, call 412000.
