Welcome return for Con Brio

Con Brio at Under Ground Theatre, Eastbourne

Con Brio at Under Ground Theatre, Eastbourne

They were one of the hits of the 2012 Saturday-morning music shows at the Eastbourne Under Ground Theatre – and now they’re back!

Local band Con Brio made their UGT debut last July, to great acclaim.

Now their unique blend of jazz, soul and blues will again be on offer, tomorrow (Saturday) with a hint of folk and a dash of rock’n’roll.

What makes Con Brio different is a genre-hopping, instrument-swapping style that sees them play jazz standards, Irish jigs, and plenty more besides!

Hence, their repertoire includes the likes of “Autumn Leaves” and “Love For Sale”, as well as instrumentals such as “Tequila”.

But they’re every bit as likely to come up with anything from “Sittin’ on the Dock of the Bay” to “Roll Over Beethoven” – via “La Mer” and “Girl from Ipanema”!

The action starts at 10am, continuing until noon, apart from a short break, and entry is free.
