The Chigwell charmers are back together again
Birds of a Feather at The Congress Theatre, Eastbourne
A stage version of one of BBC’s most popular sitcoms, Birds Of A Feather, comes to the Congress Theatre with all three of its original leading cast members - Pauline Quirke, Linda Robson and Lesley Joseph this March.
Birds of a Feather ran for nine series on the BBC from 1989 and was a huge hit from the start, largely due to the chemistry between the actresses.
Now the three original stars of the TV series are re-united on stage to re-create their beloved characters.
The show saw two sisters, from very different backgrounds, forced to live together in Tracey’s plush house in Chigwell as their husbands both served time for armed robbery.
Sharon’s more modest background jarred against Tracey’s gilded life of the nouveaux-riche, who had no idea of her husband’s criminal inclination.
Add into the mix the scene-stealing character of Dorien Green, a man-mad neighbour who never does things by halves (or without a dash of leopard print!) and you have one of the UK’s best loved hit comedies
Birds of a Feather is at the Congress Theatre, Eastbourne from Tuesday, March 19 - Saturday, March 23.
