Midnight Tango starring Strictly’s Vincent Simone and Flavia Cacace will kick off a national tour in March at the Congress Theatre.

The UK-wide tour will begin in Eastbourne on March 13, 2013, and will ruhn through to August – finishing at Leeds.

Producers Arlene Phillips and Adam Spiegel will take their Olivier-nominated production to the West End prior to the national tour.

Midnight Tango is set in a late-night bar in downtown Buenos Aires.

Vincent and Flavia both star in and have choreographed the show which brings to life all the drama, sensuality and elegance of the tango.

They are joined on stage by some of the finest tango dancers in the world, and, between them, they take the audience on a journey into the heart of this intoxicating city.

Danger and excitement, joy and jealousy, pain and passion combine into a spectacular and explosive evening.

Midnight Tango is directed by Olivier Award- winning choreographer Karen Bruce while design is by Morgan Large and lighting by James Whiteside.

The live music will be provided by top tango band Tango Siempre, featuring vocalist Miguel Angel.

Flavia said this week, “During our previous tours of Midnight Tango, we have been overwhelmed by people’s reactions and we are delighted to be starting the 2013 tour in Eastbourne in March 13.

“Audiences seem to be enjoying our performances on Strictly Come Dancing and we are really looking forward to bringing the passion and desire of live tango to the people of East Sussex.”
