Bill Kenwright presents one of the best loved and longest running musicals in theatrical history, as Andrew Lloyd Webber�"s Starlight Express, directed and choreographed by Arlene Phillips, puts on its skates and explodes back onto the New Wimbledon Theatre stage with a new production for 2012. Rock musical Starlight Express is heading for the Congress Theatre in Eastbourne.

The production, by Andrew Lloyd Webber (music), Richard Stilgoe (lyrics) and Arlene Phillips (choreography), brought in big crowds at the Brighton Centre as part of its national tour.

First night at the Congress is Wednesday, February 27 and it continues until Monday, March 4 (not Sunday, March 3), with evening performances at 7.30pm and 2.30pm matinees on Thursday and Saturday.

Starlight Express is one of the best-loved, longest-running and – unique musicals in theatrical history.

Light years ahead of the rest, this futuristic tale about love and hope in the face of adversity promises to take you on the ride of a lifetime.

There will be two hours of speed, spectacle, energy and turbo charged excitement, combined with an electrifying sound track, and dazzling sets and costumes.

There are also some of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s most memorable musical hits and extraordinary nonstop roller-choreography by TV’s favourite dance show judge Arlene Phillips.

Buckle up; the race is truly back on!
