New Albion band maintains traditions

Albion Band

Albion Band

The all new Albion Band is at Hailsham Pavilion, this Saturday (November 24), 7.30pm

Beyond a simple line up change, there is now a complete reboot of The Albion Band with Ashley Hutchings’ torch being passed to a newer generation of English folk talent.

As ever, this band brings together some of the finest young musicians and singers on the UK folk scene including Ashley’s son, Blair Dunlop with Gavin Davenport, Katriona Gilmore, Benjamin Trott, Tom Wright and Tim Yates.

The new line-up recaptures the spirit of The Albion Band’s heyday with a rockier, edgier approach to traditional English folk music.

Taking the unique character of classic era Albion Band and fusing it with award winning song writing and a contemporary rock

and indie vibe, this is the new sound of 21st century English Folk-Rock, delivered with a new kind of energy.

Opening the show is the exciting young Brighton based band, Boondock who play a mix of English, Irish, and other traditional music.

Seats: £18.50 - 01323 84141
