The Russian State Ballet and Opera House is performing Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty at the Congress Theatre in December.

Beautiful costumes, fantastic sets and music composed by the incredible Pyotr I. Tchaikovsky are bound to enchant audiences.

Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty remain two of the most well-known and loved ballets of all time. Today these timeless tales will continue to capture the imagination of their audience and inspire both young and old.

The world famous Russian State Ballet and Opera Theatre of Komi has delighted audiences since 1958. They are renounced for their ballet and opera masterpieces.

The Russian State Ballet and Opera House have ensured that this classic ballet remains just as spell bounding today as it was when it was composed over 130 years ago.

Alexej Ignatow, the producer for Amande Concerts, said “We take pride in introducing new Ballet companies and thoroughly enjoy bringing them to perform to audiences across the UK.

“This will remain a big part of our strategy for years to come.

“When you see the Russian State Ballet and Opera House logo, you can be sure of the quality of our productions. We endeavour to bring different artists every year.

“This means that although you may have seen Swan Lake one year, our performance the following year will contain different sets, costumes and choreography. It will feel like a different show altogether.”

Swan Lake is on from December 4-5 and Sleeping Beauty from December 7-8. Evening performances are at 7.30pm, with Wednesday and Saturday matinees at 2.30pm.

Tickets cost from £20-£30, call 412000.
