Clubs and Societies Report: Eastbourne Moviemakers

EASTBOURNE Moviemakers concentrated on learning new tricks at the February meetings.

First members watched a video on camera techniques, loaned from the Institute of Amateur Cinematographers.

At the following meeting they held a discussion entitled ‘From Apertures to Zebras’.

To many members’ surprise, it turns out there actually is such a thing as a ‘zebra’ effect in many camcorders.

The first March meeting will include a discussion on editing along with a showing of some previously edited footage.

Holiday movies are notorious for being long and boring, but hopefully there will be some finely edited entries for the annual Holiday Movie competition which takes place at the second March meeting.

Visitors and new members are always welcome and meetings take place at St Luke’s Parish Centre, Stone Cross, on the first and third Wednesdays of the month.
