Dress pirate-style and join the Cambridge Touring Theatre as they find a treasure map and set sail to the Caribbean in search of buried treasure. This new version of the classic novel Treasure Island includes songs, dances and interactive fun, presented by a cast bursting with energy and enthusiasm.
The open-air production is at Herstmonceux Castle on Thursday, August 15. Gates open noon for picnicking and at 1.30pm there is a 45-minute workshop for children aged five to 11, where they meet fellow pirates and learn songs from the show.
The performance begins at 3pm and lasts two hours with a 20-minute interval (when prizes will be awarded to children, and mums and dads dressed in the best pirate costumes).
The costs are adults £14, children £9, children under three free. A family ticket (two adults/two children or one adult/three children) £40.
The children’s workshop (5-11 years) at 1.30pm costs £2.50.
