Blending recital music with new technology

Richard Durrant, the master of contemporary and Christmas music brings his guitar to the Hailsham Pavilion for a show that is lit by candles and augmented by projected Christmas images on Sunday, December 2 (8pm). It includes stage and lighting design by Bill Hammond, former UK technical director for the Kirov and Bolshoi Ballet.

The performance quickly moves into its own highly individual territory, blending recital music with new technology, projected animations, improvisation and storytelling and includes Richard’s own compositions alongside works by JS Bach, Spanish and South American composers, and his memorable take on Christmas music from around the world.
