Bandstand swings to the Big Band Sounds

Every Thursday from June 27 until September 5, the Bandstand will be ignited with Big Band Sounds with numerous hits from a memorable era.

The first of the Big Band evenings is with The Johnny Spice Swing Orchestra, followed by The Swingshift Big Band, who will perform on many occasions.

The Swingshift Big Band is an exciting 18-piece big band based in Sussex. It was formed by trumpeter Jonathon Bailey and trombonist Alan Seymour and specialise in recreating the authentic style of swing.

With a wide repertoire of great arrangements from Basie to Broadway, Gordon Goodwin to Glenn Miller, with vocal talents from jazz singer Aprile Biggs and the Swingshift band, the performance is set for an amazing night of swing!

Every Thursday, doors and the bar open at 7.30pm and the concert starts at 8pm. It will finish at approximately 9.30pm.

Advance tickets are £5 for adults and £2.50 children.

The remaining tickets will be sold on the door for £7 for adults and £3.50 children.
