With reference to two recent articles with concerns over jet ski riders at Pevensey Bay, I am writing on behalf of Eastbourne Personal Watercraft Association.

We are a small jetski club that operates from the beaches of Eastbourne. We are so disappointed to read that jetski riders from Pevensey Bay have given residents cause for concern. Such actions, in the long term, give all jetski riders a bad name.
I would like to take the opportunity to point out to readers that we at E.P.W.A have set guidelines that all our members adhere to.
Over the 10 years that we have been running our club we have had little concern expressed by Eastbourne residents. So we can only advise the Pevensey Bay jetski riders to take note of the concerns they are causing in their area.
My advice to Wealden District Council would be to appoint someone to make sure that jetski riders using its beaches have public liability insurance. Eastbourne Council asks us to make sure that all our members are insured and abide by the guidelines. Our message is Keep The Beach Safe For All To Use .
