Today my son and I went to see The Musicians of Bremen by The Rude Mechanical Theatre Co at the Winter Garden and it was absolutely
wonderful.
For an hour my three year old (and I) were spellbound. The performance was magical. What really upsets me though is that there was hardly anybody in the audience, just a scattering of
parents and children that barely filled three rows of seats.
Time and time again we have been to fantastic shows for children that have been very poorly attended. Perhaps I should keep quiet about this and preserve easy access to the front row seats, but it just seems such a waste because I know my son will be talking about what he saw and heard for weeks to come and remembers in fine detail shows he saw months ago.
