Postal delays

It is utterly disgraceful that following the closure of numerous post offices and the substantial increase in postal charges, it would appear that the latest instructions issued by the postal authorities have combined to ensure complete chaos.
Many postmen and women, who had previously operated the same route for years, have now been shuffled around resulting in the new delivery person finding themselves totally unaware of either the new route or the persons to whom they are delivering.
This has resulted in excessive delays, for example, mail that was delivered daily by 10am can now be expected 'anytime up until 3.00pm' according to a main office official. A great help to businesses at a time of economic crisis!
Once again this is symptomatic of the way in which major orgainsations ride roughshod over those who effectively pay their salaries without showing any duty of care. I trust that as many Eastbourne residents as possible formally complain to both the Post Office and to our Member of Parliament in order to have this delivery mess sorted.
