Today (Thursday) the road closed sign that was in place at Pelham Close warning of a road closure just past Westham railway station has turned into a total road closure.
As we live in Montague Way this means a detour of approximately four miles to get to our home three times a day.
I would like to know who I should send the bill to for the extra fuel and wear and tear on our car during the closure, which I understand will be in place until May 23.
I would also like to know why, yet again, the residents of Montague Way and Church Bailey are having to put up with this situation.
It seems that all the work being carried out during this current closure could have been completed during the last closure approx two months ago.
We have at no time been notified of the closure allowing us to make plans for the extra time needed for school/work runs.
Having endured this for a number of weeks just a few months ago I would have thought common sense would prevail in allowing access for residents of Montague Way and Church Bailey. – MARK OSBORNE, Montague Way, Westham.
