14/05/08: Mounter is an unusual name

A friend who lives in Eastbourne recently passed on a copy of the Eastbourne Gazette of April 16 to me and I found it very interesting reading.
I was particularly interested to note that Carol Mounter had written the review of a concert at the King's Centre on March 28.
Mounter is a very unusual name and was also my mother's maiden name. I wonder if there's any connection?
My grandfather's family came from the Long Sutton area in Somerset but moved to the north east at the end of the 19th century. –
