On Bank Holiday Monday, in brilliant sunshine, my wife and I took the 99 bus to Eastbourne.
On arrival we went for a fish and chip lunch at the Odyssey restaurant whilst being serenaded by a hugely talented Italian-type tenor, together with a violinist outside. Then we went to an organ recital given by John Eady FRCO at St Saviour's church in South Street. After this we headed for the seafront to browse the stalls at the French Market, and finally down to Fusciardis for an ice cream cornet before catching our bus back to Little Common. Wow, what a wonderful day out. Thank you Eastbourne. Robert Force, Peartree Lane,
Little Common.
