I write on behalf of the committee and members of the MORE Club – Middle of the Road Eastbourne.
It is a social club for people who suffer from all types and degrees of physical disability restricting their ability, mainly through needing specialised transport so that they can enjoy some degree of social involvement everyone deserves.
May I ext
end our sincere thanks to all those people who attended and supported the occasion of the recent reunion of former Old Town residents especially the organisers, namely John Stevens, Malcolm Johnson, David Banks and Alan Pelling, for their fantastic donation to our transport fund of £370.28.
It is donations to our club such as this that enable us to continue to offer a service to people with physical disabilities along with wheelchair accessible transport which is very hard to come by due to our town having no community transport.
The MORE Club has a present membership in excess of 75 with many of our members confined to wheelchairs, but by running our own transport system we are able to offer everyone the opportunity to join in the activities we organise.
We are indebted to you. Shirley McCall, chair, More Club, Eastbourne
