The people of Eastbourne have already told East Sussex County Council what they think of the sort of parking proposals they are yet again proposing.
1. We told them during the past 'consultation' period – a farce where they ignored us.
2. We told them when we voted at the Eastbourne Borough Council elections.
Why is it that they have no respect for democracy?
All we need is some traffic warden
s – like we had before they were taken away. Strangely there has been no reduction in our council tax now we have a poorer service.
Do county councillors come from the Robert Mugabe school of government? Take no notice of democracy – and bully us into submission?
The scheme will ruin Eastbourne – just like Lewes and Brighton have been ruined. Businesses in Lewes have been devastated by the introduction of the scheme.
This is not about parking. This is simply an inefficient tax collection service where too much money is wasted in the administration. –
