POLICE are urging van owners to keep the
vehicles parked safely in the wake of a spate of
catalytic converters being stolen.
Drivers are being advised to keep vans parked in a well-illuminated area
visible to the public.
Where possible, fleet
vehicles should be parked in a secure compound which has good lighting and CCTV monitoring the vans.
Catalytic converters have a significant scrap value because they contain
platinum.
