Road closed for patch job

A ROAD in Hailsham was closed by contractors on Monday.
Rickney Lane will be shut until August 18 while patching work takes place.

The road is closed for 3,000 metres from its junction with Rickney Road to the junction with Downash Road and Saltmarsh Road.

East Sussex County Council said access for residents would be maintained 'wherever possible' with diversions also set up along Saltmarsh Lane, Ersham Road, Hailsham Road, Glynleigh Road and Rickney Road.

Access for pedestrians would not be affected.
