Revised plan from Lidl

A SUPERMARKET firm still has its eyes on Hailsham despite having its bid to build a store thrown out earlier this year.
Lidl this week resubmitted a revised application for a store on the Ropemaker Park development in South Road.
The planned 1,093-square metre store is the same size as in the previous application, which officers at Wealden District Council turned down in June.
Planners called Lidl's plans to build on an out-of-town site 'unjustified' and said there was insufficient parking.
The new plan will be discussed by Hailsham Town Council tomorrow night (Thursday).
