JUST weeks after winning silver in this year's event, Hailsham's South and South East In Bloom team gets together tonight (Wednesday) to launch its assault on the 2009 competition.
Led by deputy mayor Jeff Bentley-Astor, the bid team will look at the judges' feedback from their July visit and make early plans to go one step further in next year's contest.

They will also discuss how to involve more local residents and voluntary groups.

The meeting, at the town council's meeting rooms in Market Square, starts at 7.30pm and is open for all to attend, with a period of 15 minutes for public speaking at the beginning.
