KNOCKHATCH Adventure Park could host late-night events four times a year if its controversial bid for a licence is given the go-ahead.
The venue for last month's Out of the Ordinary Festival now wants to hold four similar events each year with up to 5,000 in the park at any one time.

It has asked Wealden District Council if it can sell alcohol and open until 3am for four straight days, four times a year.

If granted, the licence would allow the park to put on plays, films, live and recorded music and dance both outdoors and in tents or marquees.

The Out of the Ordinary Festival attracted four complaints over its three days this year but none last year.

Several residents spoke out at an Arlington Parish Council meeting last month to voice their concern at possible disturbance.

But applicant Stuart Mason said the Out of the Ordinary Festivals had passed off without incident.

Wealden's licensing sub-committee will decide on Monday (October 6) whether to give the application the green light.
