Driver banned

DRIVING without insurance has lost a 29-year-old Hailsham man his licence.
Duncan Brown, of London Road, appeared before the town's magistrates last Wednesday after admitting the offence at an earlier hearing.
The court heard Brown was pulled over by police on July 8 on the A22 after officers found there was a no insurance marker on the Vauxhall Astra he was driving.
He told officers he was insured and elected to produce his documents at his local police station, but failed to do so.
Brown already had seven points on his licence due to two speeding convictions and told magistrates he realised he was facing a ban.
The defendant represented himself and told the court he had nothing to say about the offence but added, "My car is being stored at a friend's house and is currently off the road."
Magistrates imposed six points, resulting in a six-month ban.
He was also ordered to pay a £100 fine, £35 in costs and a £15 surcharge.
