Work on the North Street store has been continuing at a rapid pace this week ahead of its expected opening on November 3.
The superstore will stock local produce from Sussex as well as fresh fruit, vegetables and dairy produce.
It will also hav
e a bakery and a selection of beers, wines and spirits as well as fish, deli and hot chicken counters.
The store will also have a small non-food range, including essential and infant clothing, health and beauty products, homeware and chart CDs and DVDs.
The 30,000 square foot superstore will also have a National Lottery counter, a free cash machine, 290 car parking spaces and a total of 25 tills.
Following its recruitment programme, Tesco said it had selected the team that will man the store.
Store manager Gerry Byrne said, "The quality of applicants was fantastic and I am delighted with my new team.
"We are currently preparing for the launch of the new store on November 3 and look forward to playing an active role in the local community.
"All new recruits were given an induction, put on a basic training programme and then given training specific to their department to ensure they are fully trained prior to the opening."
The store will be open between 8am-10pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sundays.
