Chiddingly Horticultural Society's summer show results

JOHN Ford was among the winners at the Chiddingly Horticultural Society's summer show.
He scooped the R.H.S. Banksian Medal and also won cups for his sweet peas, best vegetable exhibit, points overall flowers exhibits and overall veg and flower classes.

Winnow Hardy won the cup for best fruit class, Jose Loosemore was honoured for h
er scented rose and for a lovely flower arrangement, Ann Hobden won for her roses and a certificate for a collection of flowers and Sue Burrough's cup was for roses.

Barbie Harrison won the class for the Chiddingly Rose, Emma Pollard and Daphne Robinson both won cups for flower arrangements, Wendy Umasankar won a shield for best cookery exhibit, Sue Partridge gained most points in cookery classes, Zoe Cornford won the Children's cup and the Cornford and Umasankar families tied for The Family Cup.
