ALDI'S latest bid to build a store on Hailsham's historic livestock market will be decided by a planning inspector in February.
The supermarket firm has appealed against the decision made last November to refuse permission for the 1,612 square metre store.
Both Aldi and Wealden District Council will present their evidence for and against the store at a public inquiry at Boship Farm Hotel.
It will start on February 11 and is expected to last six days.
• St Bede's School's appeal against a county council decision to refuse planning permission for new sports pitches is to be heard in December.
The independent school wants to turn 20 acres it owns in Upper Dicker into four multi-purpose sports pitches.
Wealden District Council threw out the plans in August 2007 but the school has appealed.
A government inspector will make the final decision after a two-day hearing on December 16 and 17.
