Since its establishment in 1970, the club's members have worked on a variety of fundraising projects in the local community, donating all proceeds to loc
al good causes.
The club's first vice president will propose the toast to 'our guests' before town mayor Ian Haffenden, representing Hailsham residents and organisations, will deliver a response.
Cllr Haffenden said, "Over the years, I have had the pleasure of meeting with the Hailsham Lions Club on many occasions. I have long held the association in high esteem and I am delighted to be attending this important celebratory occasion.
"I am proud of Hailsham Lions' history as an association and its service to the local community. It is their continued effort and willingness to rise to new challenges that has kept them at the core of the local voluntary community over the past 38 years.
"I look forward to the continued development of the Hailsham Lions Club in years to come."
