PRINCES Trust pupils at Causeway School have completed a two-year course and gained their gold awards.
The XL group, made up of year 11 pupils, were presented the gold award by Mayor Mary Pooley at a ceremony held at the school.
Present was Steve Thornett, the chair of governors, and headteacher Alison Dearden.
The course covered all of the five areas of the curriculum, including a nine month community project.
The year 11 group had worked as a team and XL co-ordinator Vanessa Wolfe said she was 'very proud of the group'. It is now the fourth year of XL and the second group to complete the course successfully.
