I just want to agree with John's review, and say that the "studio clearout" is definitely worth a visit.

Underneath this gallery is a print workshop where some of the exhibiting artists produce their work. You can see it through the glass panel on the floor as you walk in.

Sign up for Ink-D's newsletter if you want to get invites to openings that invariably come with a couple of glasses of wine to get your art appreciation juices flowing...

The gallery is home to many of Brighton’s avant-garde artists. Well, actually they are probably mainstream in this town. Watch out for the collective exhibitions that Ink-D put on. If you go to one of these you really get a feel for the Brighton arts scene.

Don’t forget to go upstairs, they are vertigo inducing but it’s worth it. You will find binds of old stock (reduced) from previous exhibitions.

Tucked between a Tattoo parlour and a hairdressers, Ink_d at the bottom of North Road is easy to miss – but worth seeking out if you want to discover original, innovative art that doesn’t come with an eye-watering price tag.

Among the featured artists at the moment are Stanley Donwood (lino prints from Radiohead’s backroom boy), Carrie Reichardt aka The Baroness (subversive ceramics) and Eine and Zeus (typographical troublemakers responsible for the unmissable mural on the corner of Gardner Street and Church Street).

Arranged on three compact floors, the gallery is currently holding a studio clear out, which is great opportunity to pick up some bargain limited edition prints. The clear out runs until February 21.
