MASSACHUSETTS-BASED musician Pamela Wyn Shannon will make her debut at The Lamb Folk Club on December 2.
Influenced by artists such as Pentangle and Nick Drake, Pamela's inventive and intricate guitar style has been described as 'a tiny chamber orchestra working in unison at the end of her hands'.
Her most recent album, Courting Autumn (2007], is a rustic almanac of autumnal songs and was voted a top 10 album of the year in The Netherlands.
It also came to the attention of folk legend Shirley Collins, who described it as 'a most beautiful album... sweetly poignant'.
Pamela has been a regular visitor to the Green Man Festival in Wales, sharing the stage with luminaries such as Robert Plant and John Renbourn, and garnering praise and admiration wherever she goes.
Admission for the event is £5 on the door, the starting time is 8.30pm and enquiries can be made on 728268.
