FANS of music and comedy should head to Brighton this weekend for a concert in aid of a charity remembering a local victim of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
Acclaimed singer-songwriter David Ford, who counts among his fans music legends Bruce Springsteen and Neil Young, is taking to the stage at Audio in Marine Parade in Brighton on Saturday (September 13) to help raise cash for The Robert Eaton Memorial
Fund (REMF) and Coaching For Hope.
The REMF was formed in the wake of the attacks on the World Trade Centre, the anniversary of which was on Thursday.
During the terrorist attacks Brighton and Hove Albion fan Robert Eaton lost his life and ever since fans of the club have been making money in his name.
So far the REMF has made more than £30,000 which has been used to help support junior football clubs in Sussex , South Croydon and New York.
Coaching for Hope, the second charity to benefit from this weekend's gig, helps children in Africa by teaching them about the threat of HIV and Aids while also providing the soccer-mad youngsters with football coaching.

As well as music from Dave Ford, the night will also see a set from highly-rated Sussex band The Late Greats and a set from another local song-smith Dave Andrews.
As if that wasn't enough there are also two comedy acts on the bill.
Brighton girl Amy Blackburn, fresh from a UK a tour and appearances in FHM and Front Magazine, is taking to the stage to try out some new material and the former star of T4's Shipwrecked is sure to go down a storm.
And, warming up the night is up-and-coming funnyman Richie P Morris who will be performing his debut routine.
The Hastings-based comic has already attracted attention from The Guardian and is already pencilled in to appear at London's Comedy Store later this month.
