A FAMILIAR face popped in an Eastbourne garden centre to help offer up some green fingered tips

Christine Walkden has become a popular feature among gardeners thanks to her weekly stint on BBC1’s The One Show and last week she appeared at ESK in Courtlands Road.

There she met customers and spoke to members of the ESK Plants Gardeners Club.

Green-fingered Fred, the store’s resident expert, was delighted with how things went.

He said, “Christine is a hugely popular Lancashire Lass and she went down very well with our gardening members It’s always nice to welcome celebrities and Christine was a great success.” If you would like to quiz green-fingered Fred go to the store or call 722922.
