Seals enjoy trip upstream

THIS cute common seal is one of several spotted in the River Cuckmere and Ouse.

They are no stranger to the Sussex coastline and are one of two species of seal that breed in the UK, the other is the grey seal.

Many Sussex rivers are tidal so it’s likely the seals travel upstream following fish and can live happily for a week at a time before heading back to sea.
