MP support for vocational qualification event in June

EASTBOURNE MP Stephen Lloyd is lending his support to Vocational Qualification Day.

The celebration, now in its fifth year, celebrates the millions of people achieving vocational qualifications who would otherwise go unnoticed. Held on June, 20 the occasion will be marked by events held at colleges, schools, businesses and learning providers across the UK, including award ceremonies and open days.

These events hope to identify the value of vocational achievement, which provides young people with access to high quality technical, practical and vocational courses that offer genuine job prospects.

Mr Lloyd said, “I genuinely believe vocational qualifications are valuable; not only to individuals but to the wider economy, providing work-ready skills, experience and the opportunity for career progression, higher pay and further education.”
