LOOKING Back reader Gwyn West (nee Watkins) has sent in her photographs of Eastbourne Ladies Lifeguards doing an exercise on the beach.

She was forwarded an article of a previous photograph of ladies on a beach by her cousin and discovered her own pictures from the same rescue by the lifeguards prior to, or just having won a competition against Gillingham Lifeguards.

Gwyn, the daughter of former police inspector George Watkins, can also remember girls in the line up including Chris Ogden, Shirley Page and Flora Penfold.
