THESE photographs of Eastbourne Carnival in 1995 have been sent in by Madeira Windows boss Avelino Da Silva.

Avelino writes, “In 1995 Madeira Windows with the help of Eastbourne’s Portuguese community were overall winners.

“More than 80 adults and children took part on the day, another 35 to 40 in the background making costumes, flower growing and arranging. We all have wonderful memories from that day.

“We have filled our application form for this year’s carnival and are looking forward to making it bigger and better.”
