Beachy Head Lighthouse.

LOOKING Back reader Margaret Collins has uncovered this photograph of Beachy Head Lighthouse taken in years gone by.

The picture was taken after volunteers were asked to descend off the clifftop down to the lighthouse below which was under construction.

The men pictured in the basket for the first time include Mrs Collins’ grandfather Herbert Clarke.

They transported materials down the cliff face.
