A POWERFUL electricity generator has been installed in a rural Ugandan village thanks to the fundraising efforts of cyclists who took part in last year’s Bike Ride for Uganda, organised by Hailsham charity The Quicken Trust.

The generator provides power to Trust High School in Kabubbu and will shortly maintain essential electricity supplies to the health centre, primary school, resort accommodation and conference centre. Ben Misindye, head teacher at Trust High School in Kabubbu, said, “It will enable us to have positive links to our partner school, Heathfield Community College and for our students to have full interaction with curriculum activities.”
