A WHIST Drive for everyone who enjoys a friendly game of cards will be held in St Augustine’s Hall of Christ Church tomorrow (Thursday) starting at the earlier time of 2pm. The cost is £2.50 per person. For more details call Gladys on 720885.

STATIONS of the Cross will be followed every Friday throughout Lent at Christ Church in Seaside, from 6pm for approximately 40 minutes. Also at St Agnes Church, Whitley Road, every Friday after the 10am Mass.

THE NHS Retirement Fellowship meets on Thursday March 29 at 2pm when Christine Hillier will speak about arthritis. Meetings are held at the Blind Society Centre in Longstone Road.

A SUPER-SOUP Lunch to raise money for Christian Aid and Cafod will be held in St Agnes Church Hall on Monday March 30, noon-2pm. If you would like to attend, or are able to provide vegetables for soup making, call Cathy on 646038 or Sarah on 646079. Lenten Lunches are currently being held in St Agnes Church Hall every Thursday at 12.30pm, to which all are welcome. FILM FORUM next meets in the vestry of Christ Church on Friday March 30 at 7pm when a full length feature film will be shown, followed by a short general discussion. The cost is £2 per person. Due to licensing restrictions the title of the film cannot be advertised, but information can be obtained on 749653 or visit www.ccwithsp.org

A PALM Sunday lunch will be held in St Agnes Church Hall on Sunday April 1 at midday to help raise funds to support Heather Pegley’s year with Project Trust in Malawi, where she hopes to help orphaned children and be a role model for them, and to become involved in Malawaian culture and festivals.

Heather, a student at Sussex Downs College, needs to raise £5,100. More information can be found at http://heatherpegley.blogspot.com and www.projecttrust.org.uk The lunch costs £7 per person and must be booked by March 26. Call 724222 for details.
