There will be a varied programme of events to include music, dance, Pilates, lace making, flower arranging, card making, exhibitions.

Walks tomorrow 24th include “at ease along the Ouse”, 5 miles down land and river walk with some steep bits with Roger S, or lovely views on a lovely day, 11 miles riverside, forest, down land with Pauline.

POLEGATE DRAMA group invite you to a royal coffee morning on June 2, at Polegate Community Centre from 10 am to 12 noon.

Come dressed as a royal person either from history or present day. Judging will take place during the morning.

The person considered to be the best dressed Royal will be invited to plant the Jubilee Tree outside the Windsor Club.

ON SATURDAY June 2, the Lord Lieutenant will visit Polegate at the invitation of the Diamond Jubilee Celebration Committee to plant a Jubilee Oak from a Royal Estate, which has been presented to the First Polegate Scout Group. Members of the public will arrive at the Wannock Road War Memorial Recreation Ground at 12.15 pm.

AFTERNOON TEA on Saturday June 2, from 3pm-5pm to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, at Trinity Church Hall, Coppice Avenue, Lower Willingdon. Contact Jennie on 484189 for tickets at £5. each. Or email secretary@trinitylep.plus.com

POLEGATE RESIDENTS association will be hosting a special Diamond Jubilee coffee morning on Tuesday June 5, at 10am in St John’s Church Hall, High Street, Polegate. All welcome. We shall play bingo hold a quiz, enjoy a raffle and celebrate the Diamond Jubilee. All welcome, membership is not necessary, come and join the community and look at old photos, memorabilia of the past 60 years. At this meeting the annual subs are due at £2.50 per household.
