Down Your Way - Old Town (June 13th)
CONGRATULATIONS to all the fantastic carnival entries and well done to the organisers. Ocklynge Junior School managed to win a Highly Commended rosette for their efforts.
The children were a credit to the school as it was a bit chilly while they were patiently waiting for the start of the procession. Spirits were not dampened as the rain held off until the final child was collected by their parents.
Thanks go to the parents for organising the costumes and extra special thanks to the brave parents that walked the route with the children.
A NEARLY new baby and children’s table sale is being organised for July 7, 10am-12 at Motcombe Infant School, Macmillan Drive. The cost to sellers is just £8 for a table which should be booked to secure a place. Entry is free to buyers and there will be homemade cakes available to purchase as well.
Proceeds from a competition to win a Knockhatch family ticket will go to the Children with Cancer charity in Polegate.
