THE Farmers Market, at the Community Wise Centre, Ocklynge Road, on Saturday, April 28, 10am-12.30pm.

The market is packed with fresh local home-made produce and healthy foods, including bread, meat, preserves, spices, cakes, scones and fudge, plus lots of exciting crafts, all at reasonable prices. Refreshments available.

A CREATIVE writing workshop takes place at The Community Wise Centre on Saturday, May 5, 9.30am-1pm. This fun and relaxed workshop anyone over 16 who would like to have a go at translating ideas into words on a page. The workshop will be led by an experienced facilitator, Ruth Figgest, costs just £15. Call 722924 to book a place.

ROCK The Cavbar on Wednesday, May 2, from 7.30pm. Everyone is welcome to the monthly live event featuring acoustic music, poetry, comedy and more. Tickets £5 or concessions £3.50. Contact the Little Theatre on 01323 744298.
