ALSO at The Wolpack during the day is an exhibition of photographs and memorabilia which I am sure you will find quite interesting. It covers the last 60 years and you’ll be able to see that although basically the village hasn’t altered that much there have been one or two changes.
RECYCLED: On June 3 a new local band is to be launched on Herstmonceux: Recycled will be performing live in the bar of the Woolpack Inn 8.30pm-10.30pm.

RAY AND SHELDON will be meeting on Friday, May 25, at the village hall, from 2.15pm, when Joan Clark will show slides of a ‘Record of a Holiday in Norway’. Anyone over 60 is welcome.
EVEN though the weather hasn’t been kind Herstmonceux Bowlds Club managed a couple of good wins last week. The first was a league match against Ringmer (65-62, six points) and this was a particularly wet and cold afternoon. The next was a friendly match (87-52) at home to St John’s Meads.
WORKSHOPS: To help celebrate the jubilee and support Team GB at the Olympics, Lime Cross Nursery has a couple of workshops, the first on June, 2, 10.30am-2.30pm when you must be prepared to get your hands dirty planting up a container for the summer patio using red, white and blue flowering plants.
Everything you need will be supplied and prices start from just £3, not including the plants which will be from 30p each. The workshop will last for about an hour and all ages are welcome (children must be accompanied by an adult). Booking is essential, 833229.
