Down Your Way: Hampden Park and Willingdon Trees - May 16
STAGE One Play Reading Group start weekly meetings from tonight (Wednesday), at St Mary’s Church Hall, Decoy Drive, 7.30pm-9.30pm. A modest entrance fee includes refreshments, and the group hopes to cover a wide range of literary interests, from plays, sketches and pantomimes, to reading excerpts from well-known books. FOR those finding it difficult to obtain employment, there is an Adult Learning Course starting Friday, May 18, and running the following two Fridays. It is fully funded and offers help such as identifying skills, helping the search for look and improving interview techniques. It is at Parkland Junior School, 9am-10.30am for three weeks. FOR those needing Credit Union advice or information, there is a weekly drop-in service in Hampden Park library Mondays, 10am-noon.
DISABLED residents in Hampden Park and Willingdon Trees who would like to access computer training, there is a specialist unit being run in Faraday Close, Hampden Park by the East Sussex Disability Association (ESDA) at the Karten Centre on Tuesday afternoons and Thursday mornings, and entirely FREE.
