Can you give a few hours to volunteer at a charity shop?
A CHARITY shop is looking for local people who don’t mind giving up a few hours to benefit a mental health group.
The Mind store in Grove Road has recently been refurbished but still needs volunteers to help in a variety of roles.
A spokesman for the charity is hoping an appeal in the Herald may encourage local people with some time on their hands will get in touch to help sort donated stock, help customers, man the tills or work on schemes to boost the number of donations.
Speaking this week they said, “People of all ages will be considered, and would ideally be able to offer voluntary help for at least four hours per week.
“As well as making a difference to the charity, volunteers can themselves benefit, by improving their confidence, enhancing their job prospects and learning new skills.”
To find out more, visit the shop at 4 Grove Road or ring 639301.
