At a time when the UK's largest construction and development companies are reporting massive redundancies, one local business is enjoying very positive growth.
Eastbourne based Ellis is one of the longest established firms in the area boasting more than 100 full time and sub-contracted staff, with many team members coming from the town.
Derek Godfrey, managing director, said, "There is no doubt that businesses which focus primarily on new builds are having a very tough time. "However, our work extends beyond just building new homes, and as a result we have secured a number of large contracts in the south east in recent times."
Ellis has also recently launched a new website and has been delighted by the response from old and new customers to the changes they have made to the company branding.
Derek added, "The website is generating a lot of business for us and goes to show how important it is that the modern company embraces all the technology and communication channels available to them."
